These toys look like a Hot Wheels or Matchbox toy car but they have small electric motors. Some of the names back in the day were Aurora, AFX, Model Motoring, Thunderjet and Tyco.
I still have some of the first ones I purchased as a kid at Benner's Hobby Store in downtown Grand Forks in the late 1960's.
